HOW TO: Mitre Finish a Flat Surface

 

STEP 1: Sand the weld flush

Products used: Varilex 1802 & 120 grit BORA 9 sanding disc

STEP 2: Prepare mitre tape & position to achieve a neat mitre line

Products used: Stainless Steel Mitre tape

STEP 3: Grind out sanding marks and impart a grain

Products used: POLY-PTX 802, 120 grit grind sleeve & expansion roller

STEP 4: Reposition mitre tape and grind out sanding mark and impart a grain

Products used: POLY-PTX 802, 120 grit grind sleeve & expansion roller

STEP 5: Refine the grain and remove inconsistencies 

Products used: POLY-PTX 802, course fleece sleeve & expansion roller

STEP 6: Reposition mitre tape, refine the grain and remove inconsistencies

Products used: POLY-PTX 802, course fleece sleeve & expansion roller

STEP 7: Final buff for a cosmetic finish

Products used: POLY-PTX 802 & 80 grit fleece wheel

STEP 8: Reposition mitre tape and repeat final buff 

Products used: POLY-PTX 802 & 80 grit fleece wheel

STEP 9: Clean off

Products used: E-Nox Care & microfibre cloth
